THE PLUS SIGN (+) Michael Stiple invented the plus sign in 1544. It was reintroduced by a mathematician Robert Recorde in 1577. The plus sign is first ever printed in the book titiled "Ayn New Kunstich Buech", written by Henricus Grammateus. Another names for plus ADDITION INCREASE ADD ENLARGED MORE POSITIVE.
